About Fiammetta
This young lady knows how to win over the hearts of everyone she meets. "Fiammetta" means little flame in Italian. When she was found at 10 weeks of age, she was knocking on deaths door. She's a fighter and had a will to live.
Fiammetta is a special needs cat. She has a condition known as Hemi Neglect Syndrome. What this means is she has poor cognition of what's happening on her left hand side. It's caused by damage to the right side of her brain. This doesn't effect her quality of life but it does mean she has a very quirky personality and a special sparkle in her eye. Words from her carer "I spent a year teaching her all the things she needs to know to be a normal cat, like how to walk, how to play and how to climb. She has now passed her "training" with an A+!!"
"Fia" as she is known for short, needs an understanding owner, where she can feel safe. She needs a secure home, preferably fully indoors although supervised access to an enclosed courtyard would be acceptable. She took time to accept the resident adult cat but has connected immediately with every other foster kitten that has come through the doors (and there have been many!!).
This is a private adoption and is independent to the rescue group Inner City Strays
Medical notes
Fiammetta has brain damage that may or may not improve over time. She has been slow to learn normal kitten things, like climbing, but this doesn't affect her quality of life.
Fiammetta is desexed, microchipped, F3 vaccinated and flea & worm treated.
Adoption details
Our adoption costs cover microchipping, desexing, first F3 vaccination, and worming. We ask interested adopters to attend a meet and greet with the kitten before committing. We will require a home check for this little one, to make sure her new home is safe. We do not transport kittens interstate. Sydney only please.
