About Kotara
Loving and Loyal
Kotara will be one of those dogs that will do anything to please you. She is very human orientated and will be very loyal to her family. Currently, she happily follows her foster carer around and loves nothing more than to curl up at your feet for a nap after a walk. She has met a few kids while in care and has had excellent manners with them, sitting still while they pat her gently.
Kotara has been in care with some other puppies and adult dogs. Each day she goes to the off-lead dog park and stays nearby her carer; never running off and always coming when she is called. Kotara will need ongoing socialisation to help her become more confident with new dogs as she can be a bit timid, especially if they are big. If you have another dog at home, she would be best suited to a calmer but still playful friend.
Got a treat? Kotara is very food motivated and this makes training a breeze. She can already sit and drop, and is a pleasure to walk on the lead. She sometimes jumps up to get attention if there are other dogs around, but not when she is by herself. It is important that her new family are committed to continuing her training as she is still a pup and will have other things to learn in her new home. She is quite agile and fast so may be suited to dog sports as well if you were interested in the extra fun.
Despite her young age, Kotara is well mannered in the house and should be allowed inside at least some of the time so that she can be a part of the family. We are looking for a family where someone is home most of the time and/or there is another dog to keep her company. She should be involved in the daily activities of the family, and have a comfy bed to sleep on inside out of the weather.
If Kotara sounds like your new best friend, let us know!

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
