Merlin

Merlin is a lovely dog. He hadn't previously had much training but he's doing really well in foster care. He's picking up the house rules very quick, he knows sit and heel and where he is and isn't allowed to go, but he does require a good strong leader to show him the what's required of him, who has the knowledge to continue training him. He has his energetic, bouncy, playful times but is generally quiet and relaxed. He would be o.k. left home during the day if he had a canine friend to keep him company but would not like to live in a home with cats. From Merlin's foster home: "Handsome young Merlin joined us recently while patiently waiting for a home at Save A Dog. He was calm on walks and good with other dogs, so we thought he'd be a good fit as our first foster. Well in that time he has proven himself to be the wonderful dog we always knew he was! He hadn't had much training, but he is such an intelligent dog and so eager to please, so it only took a few days before he knew his boundaries in the house and was heeling perfectly on walks. He just needed a strong pack leader to guide him. He soon found his place with his two foster brothers too, and is learning not to be too boisterous when playing with them. They enjoy being in the backyard together and snuggling by the heater. We love him to bits, and it would be great to see him go to a loving forever home with a strong pack leader. The love and affection that this beautiful guy will give you in return is priceless!"
