About Lewis
Lewis started out fairly timid to begin with, but has settled well over the previous three weeks.
He suffered from separation anxiety terribly, but has settled somewhat. He still gets anxious, but will now settle himself in a few minutes. He is partially house trained in that he will take himself out, but is still to learn how to let you know when he needs to go out.
He walks really well on the lead and loves his time walking. Gets on well with our dog and shows little interest in strange dogs when walking. Lewis will tend to chase a cat if it runs, but when they stand still, he just wants to sniff them. Lewis shows little to no interest in our rabbits and guinea pig other than a quick sniff and acknowledgement that they are there.
Lewis displays no food aggression and eats well. He loves to gnaw on nice, small raw meaty bones.
Lewis loves to cuddle up on the couch, or follow you around the house, but won’t get under your feet. He also loves a play and chasing toys, but is still to master bringing them back. I think he likes watching us chase toys too.
Off lead walking is not recommended at this point as his recall in unfamiliar areas is very poor. He will come when called at home.
Lewis will do well in a home where there is someone home a lot of the time and with a family that is willing to preserve in the first few weeks as he becomes accustomed to the change of environment.
Lewis is being fostered in Reservoir.
