About Brumby
I am a beautiful boy who loves people. I do have limited vision and a gummy hip, but that doesn’t stop me. I really love people. I really love a cuddle. I love playing with my toys, especially stuffed ones. Did I mention I love people. I can be anxious at times but with limited vision I am sure you can understand why. I am a dominant dog and I do get along with other dogs. I really like my foster brother, he can try my patience but we work it out. I also love younger humans. My sight can make me seem clumsy and rough with them but I just want to be near them and play. I require my owner to be patient with me, especially with anything new but once I am comfortable and feeling secure, I am good to go and am always eager to please. I can follow directions but please make allowances for my limitations. Like everyone else, all I need is love, understanding and patience. I was booked in to be put to sleep when my rescuers bumped into my owner. And here I am! A second chance.
Medical notes
My vet says I am in no pain due to my injury. When I was a small puppy I was run over and as a consequence I walk a bit funny. I may develop arthritis as a senior but that is to be expected anyway!
Adoption details
There is a pre-adoption questionnaire that you can fill out to express your interest in one of our pets. Please message us to ask for one. Then we can meet up in a park or at your home to decide if this is the right pet for you! If you have other pets it would be ideal to bring them with you.
Adoption comes with a one week trial to make sure you are the perfect fit for each other and there is a contract for you to sign so you know we are all covered. Everyone is vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and desexed for adoption. If puppies and kittens are too young for desexing, this is added into a special clause in the contract and the surgery is pre-paid at the time of adoption. Then when old enough, the pet can be sent for surgery at no cost.
