Hooch ~ Boxer (on trial 1/05/16)

This is our beautiful boy, Hooch! Hooch is a 3 year old male boxer who has grown up around young children. He is very keen to please and absolutely loves affection. He also responds very well to basic commands.

Hooch is currently in care with a young family who have 2 & 4 year old kids, and given his age and size it is truly remarkable how considerate he is towards them. He also lives with a cat, which he is inquisitive around, but keeps his distance. He clearly knows his boundaries.

Hooch has been brought up as an outside dog during the day, and his foster family are keeping him in this habit, however Hooch is always allowed inside to be included in family time and whenever people are home and we would insist on only sending him to a home with a family who would continue to allow this. All dogs need plenty of love, play time and affection. Finding a family who would allow him inside at all times would be the canine equivalent of Hooch winning the lottery..

We feel Hooch would do best as an only dog in a family where he can hang out and join in on family activities. He needs some help with training to walk on a lead, but he responds well to training. He is not great with small dogs. We always recommend dog training classes to provide the best start for your new family member.
