About Jessie on trial in her new home
Jessie is on trial in her new home.
Jessie is an eight month old grey sable stock coated German Shepherd who has come into care from a home where unfortunately her former owner could not manage her anymore.
Jessie is your typical playful and loving young shepherd who needs a home where she will receive further lead and obedience training. You see Jessie has had minimal training purchased as a cute puppy then left as a yard dog without any boundaries or structure to her life. So we are looking for a home where her new owners will make the commitment to train her and socialise her so she can grow into a calm, well mannered and obedient dog.
Jessie is very affectionate with people and is not aggressive and would be an ideal companion dog for a family who have owned a German Shepherd dog before and understand their requirements.
Jessie has had minimal socialisation with other dogs and has shown some fear aggression when introduced to dogs so she will need a committed owner who will ensure she receives continued socialisation. She is a young dog who would jump up on children so a home with possibly older children would be a must. We would want her to have inclusion in the home and given guidance and a stable home environment with firm boundaries, continuity. She will need daily exercise and stimulation to keep her from becoming destructive, so plenty of playtime and walks.
She has not been introduced to cats or pocket pets at this stage and if she is going to a home as a friend for a dog we would need to introduce them carefully.
She loves to play in the water and is quiet and calm in the car. She is not a barker and loves her tummy rubs and cuddles.

Jessie has been desexed, vaccinated C5 has commenced heart worm prevention and is microchipped. Jessie is currently located at Kurri Kurri near Newcastle.
