About Ollie
Ollie was saved by Wally's Doggie Rescue, the very same day that he was due to be PTS at the Pound. It's mind boggling as to why this young beautiful boy almost lost his life for no other reason than an overloaded Pound. We believe Ollie to be Wheaton Border Collie x Lab mix and he won the hearts of his foster family the minute he arrived into care.
This handsome young man responds well to his name and has great recall. He absolutely loves chasing sticks, balls and anything else you want to play fetch with and true to the Border Collie breed, he does enjoy rounding up things, like the lawnmower for example. Being that he is still a young dog, he does like to chew and seems to have a soft spot for thongs. Ollie adores children and loves a good snuggle and play with them.
Ollie walks fairly well on lead, can sit on command and does like to gently jump up on you to say hello. This is being corrected while in foster care and will need to be reinforced in his new home. Ollie has let his foster mum know that her birds aren't safe with him, so will therefore need to be mindful of this issue. We believe chickens and cats may also not be safe with Ollie around but has not been officially tested with cats.
Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 free dog training sessions http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/ so please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Ollie.
Ollie will come microchipped, vaccinated, desexed, wormed and flea treated. He is booked in for desex on 13th April and will be available for adoption after this date. He is located in Cooronbong, NSW.

Please contact Vanessa via phone/email should you wish to meet Ollie.
When enquiring about Ollie, please give us some indication of the type of home that he would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialization outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Doggie Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
