About Voltron
Voltron is an awesome dog, in fact Voltron could possible be the most awesome dog to have ever dogged! ;)
Part Wolfhound, part Greyhound, all goofball, at best guess (we're pretty sure about the goofball part though ;) )! Standing 78cm tall at the shoulder and weighing 31kgs at around 8 months old, he is gentle giant of a pup and will be a GIANT gentle giant as an adult!
Voltron is a clever boy and has responded well the small amount of training he has needed. He is toilet trained, has steady recall and sleeps on his own, in his huge bed. Did we mention he's huge?!
Being a pup, he loves to play games, and has a collection of toys. He enjoys the company of his family or special person and will quite happily sleep in the corner of the room whilst his people are working or busy. He has loved his foster playmates and would be well suited to family with another dog. As part of the Sighthound group of dogs, and possessing a very high prey drive, he will not be suitable for a home with cats, birds or other small animals.
Voltron manages time on his own quite well, but needs access to the house (his foster family have a dog door), so he knows he's not being excluded from something very exciting!
Voltron is a young pup in a very long legged, long tailed package, so he is clumsy, strong and a little silly. He has been steadily improving his manners but can get excited, so not suited to home with young children. He is cuddly, loyal and loving dog who would be a fabulous addition to a variety of homes!
Please note - Voltron was rescued from a rural pound and the hefty transport costs as well as vet work, have meant his adoption fee is higher than average. We can only save dogs like Voltron, if adopters are prepared to to pay a little bit extra, to help save the next dog, like we saved the one they now have to love! :)
Voltron is in care in Millgrove
Medical notes
Voltron goes to his new home desexed, vaccinated, microchopped and flea and worm treated.
