Brin ~ Doberman X (on Trial 05/04/16)

Meet Brin! She is a 2 year old Doberman X (given her stature and colouring, it is believed to be Greyhound). She is the most beautiful, loyal and obedient girl you will ever meet and she has so much love to give her new family.

Brin would make a wonderful family dog. Her big secret - she absolutely loves kids! She is currently living with 3 and 5 year old girls who she loves to bits. Even though Brin is a large dog, she is very gentle and mindful of the kids. She happily sits quietly while they give her pats and cuddles. She really is in her element when the kids are around, and so she is most suited to a family with children. Given her size she is more suited to children aged 5 and above, just in case she knocked a little one over by accident with her enthusiasm.

Brin loves going for walks and is very good on the lead. She gets a bit excited at first but when told gently to "settle" she stops pulling and is a pleasure to walk. Brin gets along well with other dogs and loves to run around and play. She can be a bit weary of people and dogs that she hasn't met, but once introduced properly she quickly warms up and loves everyone's company. She enjoys playing with her foster brother, a cavalier X, even if he gets a bit cranky sometimes, she will fetch a toy and encourage him to come and play. Brin is not a digger, or a barker even when her foster brother is barking.

Brin will be fine to go to a home with another dog, pending a meet and greet, but would also be fine going into a home as the only dog provided she got lots of love and attention. Given her breed, she can be a bit protective of her home and people and will bark, so introductions to new people are necessary. But as soon as she is told its ok, she wants to be everyone's friend. She is suited to someone who is home a lot and will let her inside to be part of the family. Brin will happily stay outside when you want her to, but also loves to be with you and will lay at your feet whilst you watch TV. Brin is fully house trained and will need a family that will allow her to sleep inside as this is what she is used to. She would sleep in your bed if you let her, she gives great cuddles!

Brin is very obedient, she has great manners. She can sit, wait, drop, stay, and wont eat her food until you shake her hand. Its very cute to watch. If she is off lead, she will return when called. She just wants to please you. Brin is a large dog at 25kgs, and is suited to someone who is used to handling large breeds. Despite her size, Brin still thinks she is a lap dog and will take any opportunity to sit herself down in your lap for a pat. She is very affectionate and will make a very loyal family dog.

Brin will require a home that has atleast 6ft fencing.
