About Toby ~ 3yo Tenterfield Terrier on trial 21/04/16
Toby is a 3.5 year old playful Tenterfield Terrier who loves cuddles.
Toby is a well-trained house dog who knows his boundaries. He sleeps inside on a dog bed however he doesn’t mind sleeping outside as long as his bed is there. He loves to play fetch with a rope which is also his favourite toy to play with.
Toby is very obedient and knows right from wrong. He understands basic commands such as sit and stay. He is great with children especially when he is getting a good belly scratch. Toby goes best with dogs that are a similar size to him, but not as well when they are bigger or smaller than him. Toby does shed hair so a daily brush is necessary, however his hair does not stick to anything and is easily cleaned.
Toby likes to eat yummy home cooked mince meat and veggies, but he will also happily eat wet and dry dog food. His favourite treat is Schmackos and he loves to chew on raw bones. He is a good boy and knows to sit before his meal is served.
He is afraid of thunderstorms but he will happily cuddle up to you for the duration, well knowing he will get a good scratch out of it. Toby is a great dog for those who want a loving companion - he is never short of cuddles and kisses and is always super excited to see you when you come home from work. Always a great end to a long day.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
