Ella

Meet Ella, one of the sweetest little ladies I have ever had the pleasure of caring for.

Ella is a 4-5 year old small kelpie mix. She has come such a long way in the time that I’ve had and worked with her. She came to me as a heavily pregnant, little girl and has since given birth and done such a great job raising eight beautiful, little (energetic) kelpie mix puppies.

Ella is extremely active, and although she loves cuddles, she requires a lot of structured mental and physical exercise. Running with the bike, agility training and chasing the football will all be great daily activities for Ella to get into/continue.

Ella’s obedience is going well, however she will need continued and controlled socialisation with people and dogs to ensure she becomes the well-socialised and calm dog she can be. Her intelligence and eagerness to please makes her a very easy dog to train.
Ella is great on and off leash and just follows you everywhere.

Ella is now looking to continue her journey with her new forever family. She will require an experienced owner, both with her breed and in training dogs. Ella will also require an owner who knows how, and isn’t afraid to be the leader/boss. This is a must, as she can have quite a strong personality towards people who fail to assert themselves.

Ella is brilliant with children. She came to me quite fearful around people, especially adults, however has come a long way since then. She can have quite a dominant attitude towards other dogs, which will need to be closely monitored and possibly modified.
Ella likes to occasionally chase the sheep and chickens, however returns when I call her and prefers to sit next to you then to chase them.

Ella is honestly just a very sweet, loving girl who needs an understanding and patient owner, willing to help her continue her journey to become the best dog she can be.
Ella has shown me that with the right owner and consistent training, she is going to make a very lovely little companion.
