About Chase ~ Cattle x Puppy (On trial 16/04/16)
Introducing Chase! A 10-week-old Australian Cattle Dog x Puppy. Chase is a sweet boy who just wants love, cuddles and attention. Chase came into care with his 3 other siblings, Pearl, Piper and Chase at just 5 weeks old.
Chase-ey boy would suit a home with a very active family, where he would be incorporated into their everyday lifestyle. He will need a home where he is allowed to be inside as well as outside. He is currently sleeping indoors where he is most comfortable.
Chase’s favourite things to do are to be running around with his siblings and playing with all their toys in their foster Mum’s big backyard.
Chase is currently also living with his foster Mum’s three dogs; two Cattle Dogs and a Border Collie who he exhibits very good manners toward.
Chase absolutely adores floating around in his shell pool, and can often be seen paddling around to cool down on a hot day. It would be a big plus if he had a lifestyle where water could be incorporated into his regimen.
At just 10 weeks old, Chase is an old soul and just loves to show love and affection.
Chase is not yet trained in any way, so he will require someone with experience to teach him good manners. Puppy preschool is always recommended to get a head start on training and to help strengthen the bond between him and his new forever family.
It is also a big plus if you already have a well-mannered dog as a friend, teacher and playmate. If this is not the case, he will need to go to a home where someone is home most of the time as he is still very young and can’t be kept alone for long periods of time.
Chase is currently enjoying a diet of dry food, mince and brisket bones or chicken wings and would enjoy to have that continued in his forever home.
For more information or to meet Chase, please contact his foster carer Kelly on 0428 422 761 or email kellyhandsaker@gmail.com . Chase is in foster care in New Lambton, NSW (Newcastle).
Chase's adoption fee is $500 and he is vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. Chase will need to be brought back to DRN for desexing when old enough. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
