Piper ~ Cattle x Puppy (on trial 3/05/16)

Meet Piper! Piper is a 10-week-old Australian Cattle Dog x puppy. Piper has a sweet, lovable and adventurous personality. She is incredibly affectionate and just wants to do everything by your side.

Piper came into DRN care at just 5 weeks old with her siblings Pearl, Chase and Chester. She also lives with three other foster siblings; two Cattle dogs and a Border Collie who is she is also very affectionate towards.

Piper will need to have access to both indoors and outdoors as she is currently sleeping inside where she is most comfortable.

She will also need to be walked every day as she is incredibly active and loves to explore and learn.
Due to the nature of her breed, Piper will need to go a home with 6ft fences and preferably someone who has experience with this active and intelligent breed.

Like some Cattle Dogs, Piper was born with a stumpy little half tail. It affects her in no way, but it does add to her adorable nature when she wag’s it that little bit more than the other full-tailed siblings.

Piper loves to play with her squeaky newspaper and balls. She absolutely adores the company of her other siblings and would thrive in a home where there is another dog.
Typically, Piper is often found running around in the big yard and adventuring around with her siblings.

Piper is not yet trained in any way, so she will require someone with experience to teach her good manners. Puppy preschool is always recommended to get a head start on training and to help strengthen the bond between her and her new forever family.

It is also a big plus if you already have a well-mannered dog as a friend, teacher and playmate. If this is not the case, she will need to go to a home where someone is home most of the time as she is still very young and can’t be kept alone for long periods of time.

Piper is currently enjoying a diet of dry food, mince and brisket bones or chicken wings and would enjoy to have that continued in her forever home.
