About Bonnie
Bonnie is super lovely and cute 18 month old Greyhound x Pointer (we think). She was found as a stray in rural Victoria and managed to make her way into our care in Melbourne.
Bonnie is not tall as a greyhound and just a bit above knee height. She is very cuddly and wants to sit on your lap!
She is friendly with other dogs in the house and her foster mum does a lot of dog-sitting so it is fairly busy with lots of dogs coming and going. Bonnie is excellent too with dogs she meets on her walks and she loves to go to the pub on 'doggy nights', She loves the attention of the other patrons before settling down in a corner.
She walks well on her lead and does not pull. She loves to sniff everything and is very curious.
Bonnie loves to play with toys, balls and of course tug of war with other dogs. She has learned to sit and wait for her food. Bonnie eats politely and does not snatch food from other dogs or steals food from their bowls.
Bonnie is not (yet) the most confident dogs and likes to keep her family within eyesight. She has howled in the past when her foster mum has left her home alone and also jumped the fence in an attempt to follow her. Don't be surprised if she follows you into the bathroom when you want to take a shower. Speaking of showers, Bonnie is fairly easy to bathe and handle.
Bonnie needs a home where she can grow into a confident young lady. She would do well with positive rewards based training and a busy family home. Bonnie would suit a family with children and another dog. If she was an only dog, her human family needs to be prepared to include her in all day to day activities and not leave her home alone for long periods.
