Solomon

Solomon is a big Dane X. He is only about a year old but sat so quietly in the pound with such sad eyes, it appeared that his spirit had been broken. He was incredibly thin and had other health issues so we knew we had a challenge on our hands. However, it has been very rewarding for our foster carers to slowly see him responding to love and to see a happier boy with some puppy antics emerging from all that sadness. This is definitely a boy we really want to see with a happy ending to his story.

"Solomon's Bad Start" - 26th February 2016
This seriously big boy weighs 40 kilos but should be at least 10 - 15 kilos more. He has been bailed out of the pound today after an extended stay and is far from well. He is quite timid and we just wish he could speak so he could tell us his story.
Solomon currently has a fairly nasty bout of diarrhea and the gurgling sounds coming from his stomach are like a mixmaster so something has really upset the balance. This gentle giant has no energy and he couldn't even get into or out of a sedan.... no easy feat getting him into the vehicle. Today, he has been content to rest quietly in the shade and enjoy some peace and freedom from stress. The pound is not a happy place particularly for our more sensitive souls.
Solomon has a couple of harlequin patches on his white coat and is a Great Dane X with some serious height.
Solomon is in the hands of very caring fosters who are determined to see him through his problems.
