About Atlas Staffy Puppy
** Hello! Please read the entire profile and Adoption Procedures BEFORE sending your Enquiry for little Atlas Pup. Due to a huge number of applicants and being 100% volunteer run organisation, we are only able to respond to successful applicants. Thank you so kindly for choosing Rescue! xo **
Atlas is a 10week old, female staffy puppy, who's small now, but she'll be a big girl when she's grown up :) Atlas is a very inquisitive, playful & affectionate little pup who is in foster care with another big dog rescue sister who she loves to play, annoy and cuddle up to.
Within the first week of foster care out of the nest, Atlas adjusted so well into a new environment, in under a week she's almost totally toilet trained, accidents only being when there is no access to outdoors - she's learnt super fast which is a testament to that clever little staffy in her.
Atlas is a beautiful young puppy who will grow to be a large dog.
She's required to attend a 6 week puppy course upon adoption courtesy of the rescue organisation & then we would like to adopters to continue her onto advanced training after puppy school finishes. She has begun training in her foster home already, learning some basic obedience; to walk on lead with a harness, sit at crossings, wait before meals and socialise with other dogs and people. She's taken on regular short car trips now which she is getting the hang of & we frequent local cafes for coffee and breakfast where she is learning to also settle in slowly.
Atlas would to go to a forever home where she could have another dog to friend to play, where she will be kept safe and indoors when you are not at home and where her forever family will cherish and adore her, right through to the ripe old senior age. We believe dogs are a part of the family and should be included in everyday life.
Atlas is not yet tested with a kitty, however this could be worked on at an early age. This young girl is a very fast learner, is quite placid for such a young puppy & is getting a wonderful start in life and learning lots of valuable things off her bigger foster sister.
We're looking for dedicated, mature humans to welcome her into their home & hearts, continue with her puppy training & socialisation & also of course commit to her on-going adult training which is so important for a doggy like Atlas.
She has the whole world is ahead, could she be your world too?
ADOPTION PROCESS for Atlas:
If successful, the puppies will be placed on trials that will see them through puppy school and ongoing vet care. Our preference is that they are placed with families that have another playful, well socialised companion animal or are wishing to adopt two puppies. It is a clause in the agreement that every Puppy will attend 6 weeks of Puppy school as a part of the Adoption Process. Puppy School is held every weekend in Melbourne. Please ensure that you can make a big time and heart investment in a puppy before applying.
Atlas & her foster family look forward to hearing from you :)
Medical notes
Atlas is microchipped, vaccinated, flea'd and wormed, heart worm treated and will be desexed soon also – All of this is included in your adoption fee – which also goes back into the organisation to help rescue and treat more beautiful creatures.
