About Enchanting Pepper
Pepper is an incredibly striking, blue brindle lady with beautiful bone structure and amazing smokey eyes. She is embracing her new world beyond racing with enthusiasm and great fascination. She likes children and would suit a family environment. With a beautiful, short, velvet-like coat that doesn't shed, Pepper stays incredibly clean and is therefore low-maintenance to groom. Dogs with coats like this are good for those who can be allergy-prone.
Pepper has been very receptive meeting other dogs of all sizes, including small, but is still a little cautious of larger dogs. If you work full-time, she would be happy living with another dog, preferably male, but will definitely let you know that SHE wants your attention – you won't get away with 'sneaky pats' elsewhere :) Conversely, she would make an excellent single pet as long as she wasn't left alone for long hours – she is too intelligent and loves human company.
Pepper is very gentle and loving, but extremely excitable when you first come home and surprisingly strong for her medium size. For that reason – while she learns to calm her loving enthusiasm – she would be better with children past toddler age.
Pepper just loves going for her early morning walk and then will happily go into snooze mode once home, if you don't have time for further play. She is the type of companion that wants to be inside with you when you are home and is perfectly at ease just chilling while you do household chores or simply watch tv. She is completely content to just have you around.
Like most greyhounds, Pepper needs soft bedding and comfortable places to sit – greyhounds appreciate having their own 'soft spot' private areas that they can claim as their own, relax and feel secure. They are not very well suited to being outside dogs as they have very little body fat and a short thin coat. Whilst enjoying outside activities, Amy will look forward to a cool or warm house depending on the season. Greyhounds do feel the cold, so soft doggie pyjamas to sleep in and coats are needed in winter months.
Once she is in a secure, loving environment and is allowed to be a 'pet', Pepper will continue to blossom and has the ability to mature into a graceful, beautiful and stunning companion.
Medical notes
Pepper is in perfect health.
