About Adorable Amy
Little black beauty Amy is a pocket-rocket of adorableness. Whilst appearing to be a delicate little doll, she will surprise you with her impish sense of humour and playfulness.
Small and finely built, with an exquisite black silky coat and little white tips on her rear paws, Amy is a very pretty little girl. It's hard to imagine her being an ex-racer. She loves her toys and enjoys playing with her doggy flatmates. She has been very receptive meeting other dogs of all sizes, but is a little cautious of larger dogs. She would make a good companion for another dog, as long as they are not too big or too small. In fact, if you work full-time, having another dog as company would be preferable.
Amy is affectionate and has a gentle, submissive nature and would ideally suit being in a family with children. She is easy to walk on a lead and receptive to positive training. As mentioned she loves her toys and would love it if you could play with her too. She may even like to learn how to play ball.
This is one little girl who is pure of heart and only comes from a place of joy. She deserves to have her delightfulness celebrated now she is embracing a life outside of the 'kennel'. Everything is new and she is learning very quickly with a smile on her face.
Like most greyhounds Amy likes to be inside with you and needs soft bedding and comfortable places to sit – greyhounds appreciate having their own 'soft spot' private areas that they can claim as their own, where they can relax and feel secure. They are not very well suited to being outside dogs as they have very little body fat and a short thin coat. Whilst enjoying outside activities, Amy will look forward to a cool or warm house depending on the season. Greyhounds do feel the cold, so soft doggie pyjamas and coats are needed in winter months.
As mentioned, Amy would enjoy being part of a family. Conversely, her loving nature means she could share a more mature affection with adults as long as she is not left alone for too many hours. She loves going for a walk every day and then is happy to come home, plop down where she can see you and snooze in contentment. She would really thrive in a cheerful, lighthearted environment.
If you think Amy's profile could suit your situation, then she would love to meet you.
Medical notes
Amy is in perfect health and is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated.
