About Keating
Hi, my name is Keating and I’m a Border Collie looking for a loving forever home to spend my days. I am 7 years old and now looking for a home where I can spend time with my family and go for a quiet stroll each day.
Up until now, I have lived an indoor/ outdoor lifestyle and am house trained. I am happy to sleep inside or outside. When I am greeted by a human, I immediately roll over for a big belly rub. I love them! And if you can give me a belly rub, a warm place to sleep and something yummy in my tummy each day, then that’s all I really need in life.
I have looked after myself well all these years, have always been up to date with my fleaing/ worming and vaccinations! I’m not fussy on food and I haven’t ever had any major health issues. I am also not looking to have any pups of my own so I am also desexed.
I am not too keen on other dogs – especially if they’re trying to jump all over me. I would like to find a companion or family that are looking for a working dog, but not all the endless energy expected of my breed. The quiet life sounds just right by me. I have been fine to spend time in foster care with other dogs if they are quiet and not trying to bother me. I am not interested in puppy play anymore, but I will happily have a little catch of the ball and will play with toys on my own.
I am not too keen on thunderstorms, they can make me a little frightened, but I am not destructive I just want to hide. If you can keep me safe and comfortable when the thunder roars, then I’ll be just fine.

OUR ADOPTION PROCESS
1. You see a dog you like.
2.Fill in our online adoption form by clicking here or on our website. Be sure to include any questions you may have on our adoption form.: (This form does not obligate you to adopt, it simply gives us an idea of your situation and needs.)

3. If your are successful one of our volunteers will contact you to organise a meet and greet at your home and conduct a yard check at the same time.
4. Should all go to plan, you will be welcomed to start your 2 week trial period immediately. Adoption fee will be required to be paid at the beginning of the trial period.
During the 2 week trial period, should you decide that this dog is not for you, you can return the dog at any time (the more notice the better, so we can ensure we have a foster carer available) and your payment will be returned to you in full, within 3 business days of the return of the dog.

We are a volunteer run organisation, who have their own jobs during the day, we don't have someone manning our phone during this time, therefore cannot respond to all inquiries immediately. The fastest way to have your questions answered is to include it in the application form. This will speed up your application with us, and help us communicate with you faster.
Please be patient with us, as the unpredictable nature of rescue may prevent us from clearing all enquiries regularly.
