About Amelia
Amelia was found wandering around the streets with 1 foot missing completely. The only expalination we can think of is that she got it cought in some kind of trap.
When an animal has a limb amputated properly, it is taken off as high as possible so that the lower part of the limb doesn't drag.
Poor little Amelia was having trouble as the lower part of her leg, which was just above the ankle, was dragging on the ground with the bone sticking out, so it was bleeding & at a constant threat of infection.
That has now been removed & she is recovering well, but we still need to pay our wonderful Vet, who took her in to operate as soon as was possible.
