When they gave their kitty his famous name his previous owners must have known British prime minister Sir Winston Churchill's celebrated WW2 pet was a blue/grey cat.
While we don't know his history Winston has many Russian Blue traits - vivid green eyes; a quiet meow; undemanding nature; very alert; a plush velvety silver coat; and placid yet playful nature. He can be a real goof galloping around the house and dashing behind furniture. Forget balls - he much prefers string and the dustpan brush to play with but even in his most playful moments he doesn't ever scratch or bite. He adores his scratching post too - for play claw stretching and sleeping.
Just like his famous namesake Winston Churchill has the uncanny ability to fall into a deep sleep at a moment's notice only to be woken by the sound of the door to the back yard - or his food can - being opened.
