About Sebastian ~ (on trial 9/04/16)
Hi! My name is Sebastian and I’m a three year old Jack Russell Terrier boy. I am a gorgeous young boy with floppy ears, short legs and a cute little salt and pepper coloured face. I am a very affectionate young boy, who loves a good cuddle or just to sit on your lap while you’re watching TV.
I had a bit of a rough start to life. I was left chained up outside for my first three years. Now that I’m allowed inside with my foster mum and dad, I never want to leave! Because of this, I would like a family who would allow me to be inside with them and to sleep inside. Once I realized that my foster mum lets me in and out as I please, I am not afraid to go outside to go to the bathroom and now head out when I need to. My foster mum can safely say that I am fully house trained!
My foster mum says that I need a family who loves to go out walking and exploring because I haven’t had a chance to before I came into care. I am absolutely loving my daily walks, and am good on lead. My mum says I am an angel at the beach because I am happy to just stick near you, and if I run off I will always come back when you call!
I get along really well with my foster brother and sister, and love meeting all sorts of dogs at the beach, but I think I’d also be happy to go to a home as an only dog with someone who is home a lot. So I’m not really fussed if I have a doggy friend or not, just as long as I have company.
I love to play with my new toys that my foster mum has given me and am happy to share them with my foster siblings. I am a well behaved boy who doesn’t bark, dig or chew (unless it’s my play things). I am a little bit funny with food though, so if there is another dog in the home, I’ll need to be fed separately because I can’t get enough!
I was a little nervous when I had my first ride in the car, but have gotten used to it very quickly. I am not sure how I would go with pocket pets or cats because I have never met any, but I think I’d be ok with children because I am a small boy who isn’t much of a jumper.
I would love a home where I could be a part of the family. My foster mum says I’ll be hard to let go because I am such a beautiful boy who is just so grateful for his new start to life and would hope that my new family would carry this on.
If you’d like a loyal companion who just wants to be doing whatever you are, feel free to contact my foster mum Teagan - she is happy to answer any questions you have about me.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
