Layne ~ kelpie x puppy, female (Trial 25/4/16)

Layne is a 9 week old, female, Kelpie x puppy. She is very people orientated and loves to be where you are and to be picked up for a snuggle. When there is no human to play with she spends her time chasing and wrestling with all the other pups and adult dogs in her foster home, hiding amongst the ferns and shrubs, and testing out lots of different toys. She is confident and brave and eager to explore the world.

Layne is a very healthy little girl who has been raised in a home environment. She will grow up to be a medium sized dog. We recommend puppy training classes for all puppies. Layne will need a daily walk, toys, and interaction with people. Puppies are a big commitment for approximately 12 to 15 years.

Layne needs to be allowed inside when people are home, and must sleep inside. She will be great family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. You will need good fencing with no small gaps. She cannot go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire). Gates need to have locks on them to discourage dog thieves (sad but true).

It would be a big plus if you have a friendly adult dog as a teacher, companion and playmate for Layne. If you don't have another dog to keep her company, then there needs to be someone in the household that doesn't work full time.

Layne and her brothers Lachlan and Lorenzo came into care when they were 4 and a half weeks old. They are healthy, happy little puppies ready to begin their lives in their forever homes.

As Layne is not yet desexed, she is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because she'll need to be returned to our vet for desexing when she's 4 or 5 months old. Layne will be ready to go to her forever home on or after 27/3/16.
