Marley & Blaze ~ 5yo Maltese X pair (adopted 4/16)

Marley is a white female 5yo Maltese x and her partner Blaze is a male with some darker patches, also 5yo Maltese mix. They love people and they both adore cuddles and are very affectionate - they love to give kisses!

Marley and Blaze are inseparable and would have to be adopted together. They love to play together and keep each other company - they are always sitting or laying touching each other or bottom to bottom, it's so adorable! Both Blaze and Marley are outgoing, sweet and friendly. They love being close to you and sit with you at your feet or jump up and sit with you on your lap.

When we first got these pair they were extremely shy and unsure about the world, everyday they had new experiences and have grown so much in such a little time. Now they are the complete opposite and are the two most loving and outgoing dogs. They love meeting new people and always will greet you with kisses and excitement no matter if you were gone for two seconds or two hours. Marley was extremely skinny when we first got her. Marley has now fattened up and they both love their food!

Marley and Blaze are both very playful and love to chase a ball. Blaze is a little faster so we throw separate balls for them to chase. They are both great on leash when going for walks. Blaze loves car rides, but Marley isn't a fan (we think she gets a little car sick).

They both enjoy their walks, but they don’t have to be walked every day. They are more outside dogs, but could just as easily live inside. Blaze is toilet trained and friendly with other dogs. Marley on the other hand is more timid when it comes to other dogs, she is also only half toilet trained and will need a little more training to be an inside dog.

They are very well behaved dogs and will hardly (almost never) bark. Both Marley and Blaze will chase cats so they are not suited to a home with a resident feline. They both love children and all people in general, although you have to watch Blaze and Marley with smaller children as they tend to occasionally jump but will respond to 'down' and 'sit' straight away.

Blaze and Marley would be suitable for just about any household, so long as they get lots of love and are taken on a short walk one or more times a week.
