About Charlie ~ Poodle X ~ On Trial 11/04/16
Charlie is a 5 year old Poodle x boy that is just the sweetest little dog you will ever meet! He steals the hearts of everyone he meets with his soft nature and beautiful personality. Charlie is such a special boy it's hard to put into words, from the way he bounces around on his walks to the way he curls up into a little ball to have a nap he is just such a beautiful little soul.
Charlie has so much love in his eyes that he gives to anyone and a heart of pure gold! He has a few hobbies - he loves supervising your work in the garden, enjoys walks and meeting neighbours and new doggy friends, and of course, he loves watching TV on the couch after a long day of being a happy little man. But most of all he just enjoys being close to you and will follow you wherever you go!
Charlie will need a family where someone who is home a lot as he gets lonely without his humans , he wouldn't mind a doggy friend but is picky on who he shares his humans with so would prefer a doggy friend who is calm and friendly and that’s still up for the occasionally game or two! He is in foster care with two other small dogs and a cat - he is definitely more of a people dog though.
Charlie’s ideal family will be one who will involve him as part of the family and will keep up his socialisation with meeting new people and other dogs. He would also be an ideal walking buddy as he loves a daily walk and is absolutely no trouble on the lead!
Charlie is an inside/outside dog and needs to be allowed inside when people are home, and to sleep inside. Although he loves to play in the yard he is not suited to being a yard only dog as he is far too social - he will bark if isolated or separated from you. Charlie has a low shedding coat which needs regular brushing (every few days depending on length), bathing (every few weeks) and clipping (every 4 to 8 weeks) to keep him comfortable and beautiful.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
