About Mitzu ~ 2yo Maltese Shih Tzu boy (On Trial 21/3/16
Mitzu is a 2 year old Maltese x Shih Tzu boy. He is a very healthy, loving and affectionate little dog.
He loves to play ball and romp with the other dogs, but when he is tired he likes nothing better than to curl up close for some loving cuddles.
Mitzu is fully house trained and gets on well with other dogs and cats. He is an inside dog and needs to be allowed inside, at least when people are home, and to sleep inside.
Mitzu has had some contact with children, but would probably be more suited to a single or retired couple and would make an ideal second dog.
For more information or to meet Mitzu, please contact his foster carer Diane on 0425 200 721 or email dipamp4@bigpond.com. Mitzu is in foster care in Salamander Bay, NSW (Port Stephens, north of Newcastle) and is not available for adoption interstate.
Mitzu's adoption fee is $500 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
