Shadow (WA)

This is Shadow, a black female Great Dane, and yes if she could be your shadow all day long she would be. She is a very loyal, loving girl always looking to please her human and over the moon when she gets an ear rub as her reward. At 5 years young, Shadow is still absolutely full of love, life and bounce. Her daily walks are a big highlight where she walks like an angel on lead. She’s happy to heel and come close to your side when ever asked or 'walk on' should a distraction pop up. Her other favourite past times include playing with her toys and fetch with her ball.

Shadow has lived with a younger male large breed who was happy to be her constant playmate but outside of this she’s not had opportunity to socialise off lead with other dogs. Her recall is good and she’s not one to stray far from her human when she’s been off lead walking and camping in remote areas.

In the home Shadow is a pleasure. She knows the command ‘on her bed’ very well and is happy to give visitors space when asked. Generally her response to visitors is inquisitive and friendly with only the very occasional new person making her feel uneasy.

This lovely lady has grown up with school age kids who she adores and so long as the children aren’t too young and unpredictable in their behaviour she is quite relaxed around them and rather enjoys looking out for them. She could be integrated into a home with cats if introduced properly and plenty of time taken to develop a healthy relationship.
