About Grohl ~ 3yo purebred rottweiler (On Trial 23/9/16)
Meet Grohl, a 3 year old, male, pedigree Rottweiler. Grohl is quite the catch, he is a handsome boy and already has basic training. He is super cuddly, loves a good game and is always happy to see you when you come home.
Grohl’s favourite thing to do is play, especially with balls and rope toys. His favourite game is tug of war. He’s very good at sit, stay, lay down and shake hands, but will need some more training if he is going to be allowed off leash. He is a “rock dog” because he was named after Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters!
Grohl is in foster care with a 4 year old female Rottweiler, he gets along with most other dogs he has met, but can be a little frightened of large dogs. He would prefer to have medium breed dog friend to play with.
Grohl is happy sleeping and spending his time outside during the day, he loves to come inside at night time for a cuddle and spend time with his humans. He is well behaved in the house and is housetrained, he has not had any accidents since being in foster care. He rarely barks and doesn’t fret when he is left home alone though he likes some company.
Grohl is a big, sweet, cuddly boy - he gets along well with kids but would be best suited to a family with older children as he can possibly bump the little ones over because of his size. He would be suited to a home with experience in the breed as he can be a bit pushy if he thinks he can get away with it.
If you think you could offer Grohl a loving, affectionate, active and happy forever home, please contact Kat by emailing katlewis1987@gmail.com. Grohl is located in the Newcastle area, NSW and is available for adoption interstate.
Grohl's adoption fee is $450 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
