About George ~ Border Collie (On trial 27/3/16)
George: 4 Year Old Border Collie
Hi there, I’m George. and I would love a forever home. I love going for walks with my foster carer and my mate, Spike, who has photobombed almost every picture taken of me. My carers take me on drives which I love, plus pats, tummy rubs and being pampered with a bath and brush.
An adorable, happy, healthy and playful, George is one boy with a seriously sweet nature. Being fit, active and happy boy, George would make a perfect companion for a young family, as he loves playing with children.
Being very gregarious and playful, George loves being around people and animals. He is currently living with two of his siblings, another puppy and two larger foster sisters who love him. Being a very friendly and good-natured pup, he is easy to get along with and is constantly playing with his canine companion. George gets along with everyone, especially children and their bigger people.
Although George is learning basic commands such as, sit, bed and stay and learning to walk on a lead, she needs a little more work and attention on his toilet training. However, he is very responsive and eager to learn and will soon be a very well-behaved boy.
Even tough George’s coat is a little rougher than that of his siblings, George is very low maintenance. He will grow up to be a medium size adult.
As George has always lived in a home with other dogs, it is hard to predict whether he would be happy as an only dog. However, given plenty of love, attention and exercise, George would cope in most situations.

George is de-sexed, vaccinated, free of fleas and worms, microchipped, and lifetime registered. His adoption fee is $350.
Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
