About Kobe
Kobe is young, beautiful and full of love. Sadly, Kobe has some emotional scars from his difficult first years, but we are working with him to overcome these.
Kobe has not had the best start. His previous owners left to go overseas and dumped this beautiful boy along with his friend. He was surrendered to the shelter for euthanasia, but thankfully the wonderful shelter staff convinced the owner to surrender the dogs for rehoming.
Kobe has blossomed in foster care. He is a 2 and a half year old maltese x poodle who loves to play. Kobe absolutely loves the beach and being outside. He would suit a person who loves to be outdoors and take him on adventures with them. After a busy day of playing abd being outside, Kobe can be found cuddled up on the couch with you while you watch tv.
Kobe sadly has a fear of children, perhaps he has been tormented or teased in the past? He is not suitable for a family with children.
We have recently been using the team of dog trainers from Paws and Relax Dog Training to help Kobe with some of his fears and anxiety. He has responded really well to positive crate training, and his new owner should be willing to continue with his positive behavioural plan in order to help Kobe settle into his new home.
Kobe would do best with an experienced owner who is committed to helping him continue to heal from his difficult past. He is such a delightful dog and brings so much love and joy to his foster home.
KOBE IS NOT SUITED TO A HOME WITH CHILDREN OR CATS
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heart worm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.
