About Roussey (Dog/Cat Friendly)
Roussey is gorgeous female, mix of German Shepard X Kelpie.
Roussey is a sweet girl, and onlya pup herself and has found herself surrendered by her previous owners and with Wally's Doggie Rescue.
Roussey has dog and cat exposure in foster care and shows no signs of aggression or dominance towards the other dogs in care. Roussey is currently living in a family environment with a 3 year old Kelpie X Border Collie, a 1.5 year old English staffordshire and a 4 year old Pomeranian.
Roussey is described as very dog and people friendly. Roussey loves to play ruff with the English staffordshire and plays chase and tug with the Kelpie x Border Collie.
Roussey sleeps inside and outside She dose dig holes but just for fun not to escape She is fearful of loud noise eg, lawn mower, trucks driving by when walking. Roussey has some basic obedience training and can walk on a lead, SIT, STAY and COME. Roussey is learning off lead recall, and is currently at the stage of where she comes back most of the time, but at other times her nose hits the ground and she just keeps going. So best to keep her on lead until she masters RECALL.
Roussey's foster family believes Roussey could live with or without another dog. Roussey would be best suited to an active family that is willing to teach her new things as, Roussey bonds with family members in her foster home who are teaching her new tricks or commands.
Please NOTE: Roussey is NOT good with livestock, but loves riding on the back of the UTE.

Adoption details
When enquiring about Roussey, please give us some indication of the type of home that she would have with you. We are interested in things such as other animals (past and present), children who may have contact with the dog, whether you own or rent your home, what opportunities for socialisation outside the home your dog would have, how much you/someone is home and most importantly, why you feel this dog may be suitable for you.
Wally's Dog Rescue put a lot of time and effort into ensuring our dogs/pups are sociable and made to feel part of the family, so in considering adoptions, these are the type of things we will be looking for in a new family.
To kickstart my training, Wyong Dog Training Club will provide 3 FREE dog training sessions
http://wyongdogtrainingclub.org.au/. So please be sure to utilise this awesome gift which will benefit both you and Roussey.
Wally's Doggie Rescue likes all of our rescues to be adopted into families that will continue their socialisation and allow their dogs inside of the home on a regular basis to ensure that they are part of the family. This is particulary so if they are to be an only dog.
