Meet Toby. He's an an independent, easy going dog who's looking for a place to call home!

Toby can be a little aloof to begin with - to both humans and dogs! He likes to sniff, explore and find things out for himself, then once he's satisfied he will come up for a gentle cuddle and pat.

He can have selective hearing at times so when he's distracted it can be hard to get his attention - a good bond and some training will help this along and get him used to paying attention to his handler.

He tolerates other dogs but doesn't really seek playtime or affection from other dogs. He tends to just potter around and explore on his own. If other dogs pay him too much attention he has no trouble telling them to back off!

Toby would be really suited to someone who's looking for a calm dog that doesn't mind doing his own thing. He would definitely benefit from regular exercise to keep him happy and stimulated, but apart from that he enjoys just hanging out and havin a snooze!
