Louie is a total dream, he has such an amazing gentle nature and is just so handsome. Everyone who meets him instantly falls in love with him.
Louie is very quiet but oh so affectionate, he loves putting his paw on you whenever the opportunity arises. He is not a needy dog and is happy to spend time by himself exploring the backyard. He loves to wrestle and play with other dogs so would preferably love another dog for company. He is very submissive so is great with both male and female dogs. Louie is also social with cats, he is a little intrigued by them, but has no ounce of aggression in him. He has previously lived with older children and would suit a home with teenage children as he can be startled by fast movements or loud noises.
Louie's ideal home would have another dog and be able to provide plenty of mental and physical exercise for him, he would love to go to the local dog park daily to meet new friends.

As we rely on our foster carers (who are all volunteers and have families, jobs and pets of their own) to help with adoptions it may take a couple of days to organise for you to meet a dog once you have submitted your adoption application. We appreciate your understanding and patience with us while we work with you to ensure the perfect match for your family.
Safe Haven Animal Rescue Inc have a 10 day trial/settling period, if for any reason the pet needs to be returned, we will happily take them back into our care once a foster home is found and the adoption fee minus $50 (admin fee) will be returned via bank transfer within 5 working days. If the pet is returned after the trial period there will be no refund made.
**Please note that all paperwork including the Microchip Change of owner form will be handed over after the 10 day trial period.**
Harvey Dog Training supports SHARI and has kindly offered to provide our adopted animals 30% off training/obedience classes. If you are keen to enrol your new puppy/dog please mention this in your email to us!
