About Shallot
Shallot is a junior boy with a very outgoing personality. He is the type of cat that follows you from room to room. He also waits outside the room while you shower his foster mum tells us.
Rescued from a high kill Sydney pound he was been in foster care with 2 other felines so a home with another cat won't frazzle this young man.
Shallot is entertaining he playful he is sweet he is charming he is placid in nature and as much as his foster Mum would love to keep him Shallot must find his own special home.
Shallot is a ideal cat for a single person looking for a companion cat or someone looking for a friend for another feline.
If Shallot would suit your family and you would like to meet him please call Jeanette at the AWL Western Suburbs branch who is taking applications for this charming little guy. A pre adoption application will be forwarded for you to complete prior to a meet & greet.
Adoption details
STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW: I will come desexed, vaccinated (1st F3) and microchipped and will have up to date worm and flea treatments. I will need to be lifetime registered which is a $51 once off fee. This is compulsory in NSW.
ADOPTING ME: You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (ie fly screens etc).
Please remember that I have thought seriously about taking you on and when you take me home, I am committing to you for life. So, I hope you have thought seriously about this and are likewise planning on committing to me.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me from death row and have given me a lot of care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
ABOUT US: AWL Western Suburbs branch wants to promote adoptions of cats from Blacktown Pound and to try to re-home them either directly from the pound or from our foster carers. If you would like to help us, please feel free to contact us and find out how you may assist, including being a foster parent.
All adoptions will require a Preadoption application form completed and returned prior to a meet & greet with our cats. Forms will be emailed to you after the initial phone enquiry or email for a form now.
