About Rusty *On Trial in His New Home*
*RUSTY IS CURRENTLY TRIALING HIS NEW HOME - NO MORE ENQUIRIES/APPLICATIONS PLEASE* Handsome Rusty is ready to meet his new family! He would benefit from a home that either has time to give him lots of cuddles and train him to be an indoor/outdoor doggie, or he’ll need one with a canine companion, large or small, if you’ll be away most of the day at work – does your place fit the bill?
Intercepted on his way to our local pound Rusty is a Jack Russell Terrier x Kelpie and is described as an affectionate, energetic puppy who is always up for a bit of rough and tumble with his foster carer’s Rottweiler cross. He’s also great with the school aged children he’s in care with and isn’t fazed by the household cats. When he’s not playing he likes following you around while you go about your business or snuggling up to you while you watch tv. We’re unsure if he’ll grow to be Jack Russell or Kelpie size but hopefully he’ll still be the perfect size to be scooped up and cuddled as we know he’d love that.

Rusty is proving he’s an intelligent pup as he quickly picked up “sit” and knows his name and has good recall. Being in care with an older dog who’s been showing him the ropes and teaching him the proper ways to play and behave has been a bonus. Rusty also loves treats (which he takes gently), so this should help with any further training, as he’s keen to learn and please his humans.
This affectionate pup enjoys playing with toys in a home with secure fencing and bones to chew on. He has taken well to his lead and gets quite excited at the prospect of walkies and would love for this to continue in the future.
If you’ve got the time, patience and love to continue to bring up rambunctious Rusty then please download and complete a SARG Dog Adoption Application form by following this link: http://www.sarg.net.au/adopt-a-pet/

Adoption details
Please Note: SARG and our animals for adoption are located in Mildura in North-West Victoria.
Our adoption process commences with completing an Application form which you'll find at: www.sarg.net.au
The Application is then reviewed, references checked and a yard check done, then, if there are no issues, a meet and greet is organised. If all goes well the last stage is a 28 day home-trial to make sure that everyone is happy.
If the trial is successful our “stray” is then officially considered adopted and the microchip transferred into the new owners name.
If anything goes wrong SARG will always take back one of our animals :)
