Archie ~ Maltese x Shih Tzu, (on trial 5/03/16)

Hi my name is “ARCHIE” and I am a nearly 2 year old Maltese x Shih tzu boy. I am full of love and life and eager to share with my forever family. I absolutely adore kids, every time I hear them in the distance I just want to go to where they are just to be near them. Sadly I am very frightened of MEN! But I am living in a house with my foster mum my foster dad and 2 big burley teenage boys so I am slowly getting used to them. I am just scared they will hurt me so I bark at them and try to keep my distance. This is something that will take time for me to realize that not all men will hurt me. So if there is a man in my forever home he will need to be gentle and patient until I learn to trust him.

I already have good basic training. I love being in the car, I sit perfectly when asked, I'm great on lead and best of all I'm fully toilet trained! I have a wonderful time at the park and I love all the women, children and dogs that I meet.

I am very much an indoor doggie and must be allowed access to stay in the house during the day when my family leave me otherwise if left in the yard I will bark, but if I’m safe inside I’m fine. Of course I need to sleep inside. I sleep on the bottom of my foster mum’s bed and am a great sleeper.

I am living with 4 other dog’s in my foster home and would love a furry friend in my new home as I just love to play. Even though I am young I am very settled all day after I get my morning walk in.

My coat does not shed so needs clipping about every 6 weeks and a bath once a fortnight to keep me looking as beautiful as I do now. I am perfect in my bath also.

My foster mom says I am pretty much the perfect dog! All I want is love, and when you give me love you will get so much puppy love returned right back to you and I'll bring you lots of happiness.
