About Muffin
Muffin was reluctantly surrendered as his owner was no longer allowed pets at their residence.
He has been undergoing some rehabilitation as when he arrived at the RSPCA he was quite unsure. He has spent the last month with a foster carer and her existing pet dogs and cats. He is very social with other animals but would prefer to not have to share his love with too many other pets.
He needs a calm quiet home where there is routine this helps him settle in more easily. He is currently on some medication that helps him adjust to new environments. You will need to discuss this medication with our veterinarian prior top deciding to adopt. He may need to stay on this medication long term.
He has been spending alone time outside with the other dog or crated in the house at night he sleeps in the carers bedroom on a bed on the floor. He is working on his toilet training (he will hold all night) so will need an understanding owner who can help him continue with this training.
He is friendly with children but prefers older kids that are not too noisy or boisterous. He loves to go for walks and would appreciate time out of the home each day. When at home he loves to snuggle up on the couch with you.
Muffin will need regular grooming to keep him looking his finest.
Muffin will be staying with his foster carer until a new home is found he is not at the shelter. If you think Muffin could be the dog for you please contact his carer Tara on 0428 038 626
