Hi my name is Pansy
I am a very playful energetic girl who needs an active family to provide her with plenty of daily exercise socialisation playtime and of course love! I have learnt some basic cue work such as sit and drop and I would benefit from ongoing obedience training.
I can get excited easily so it is important that I have a structured routine and that all my family members are consistent with me. Due to my excitement I am better suited to playing games of fetch rather than tug-o-war.
I will need to be taken for a daily walk as well as interactive playtime.
I am a low maintenance dog that is happy to spend time doing things with you as well as spending time doing my own thing. This means that I am not a dog that really likes to spend a lot of time being patted or hugged.
I am social with a lot of the dogs that I have met at the Shelter but will still need to meet any prospective doggy housemates prior to adoption so if you do already have a dog and you are thinking of adopting me please bring your dog along to the shelter to meet me so we can see how we interact.
I should be introduced to any other pets in the household slowly and under supervision as I am not sure how I will react to them.
Because I am such a smart dog I can get bored so it is important to give me plenty of toys to play with so I can chew on them and not furniture or items you do not want me to chew on. Taking me on daily walks will help lessen my boredom and keeping my excitement levels in check by the way I also walk well on the lead. I prefer to walk on a harness rather than a lead attached to my collar as it helps me feel safer and helps me not to pull while we walk.
I will need a large yard which has colourbond fences and gates that are at least 5ft high and in good condition with no gaps or foot holes to be kept safe and secure.
