Paddy ~ On Trial 30/4/16

Hi! My name is Paddy –it’s short for Paddington Bear although my foster mummy calls me Knick Knack Paddy Whack. I am a very handsome male 14 week old Blue Heeler x Kelpie puppy with a lot of charisma – I’m a total charmer!

I’m a healthy and happy boy who loves everyone and everything in life. Since being in care I have been very well socialised with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. I love my foster brother Snags the sausage dog - I love to tackle him and play tug of war with a squeaky toy.
Aside from playing with all sorts of other dogs (I’m in foster care with 4!) I also live with a cat. He is pretty good - I like to smell him and push him with my nose.

I’m a pretty normal puppy ‘cause I love running around the backyard with my foster brothers and sisters as well as playing with all sorts of toys. My foster sister Sorbet occasionally bowls me over so I run to my foster mum and dad for cuddles. Puzzle toys with treats are cool although I really like empty cardboard toilet rolls to chew on!

Being only a baby I am still learning all my manners. I can sit and drop and am learning to come. I’ve been off leash in a fenced park but will need practice on my recall as I’m a typical puppy who is interested in everything else going on so I get distracted easily. My foster parents recommend puppy and adult training classes with me because it will be super fun and I’ll learn heaps – plus it means I can meet and play with more dogs.

I am very loyal and love to follow you around to see what you are doing and if I can help you I will. I’m currently supervising the renovation of my foster home – I help my foster dad by supervising him pulling up the carpet whilst I chew my Kong. I need to be allowed inside when my family are home as well as sleep inside – I’m way too social to be left outside and I don’t want to sleep outside ever! If you work fulltime, then I definitely need a canine friend to play with otherwise I’ll get bored. If you work and can take me with you that would be great too!

I will grow up to be a medium sized active dog - being a combination of two smart breeds I would excel in a family who will mentally stimulate me with games and take me for long walks or runs. My future home has to understand that I am a lifetime commitment and I will love and adore you all the time.
