About Rocky
Rocky is a pure bred male German Shepherd who is currently in care at Kurri Kurri. This handsome boy has been a much loved family member but his former owner has made the hard decision to part with him and he is now in our care.
Rocky is a well mannered male stock coated dog who knows his basic commands and is voice responsive. Rocky knows how to Sit (hand signal: - salute. Drop (hand signal: hand chop downwards), Stay (hand signal: palm out towards him). Heel (on leash). Stop (on leash). OK (signal to eat from hand or bowl).
Rocky loves playing with balls and soft toys and is used to a daily walk between 5-10 kilometres. Rocky does however need to loose a few kilos.
He would be best suited as a friend for a female dog of similar size, very bubbly and eager to play. He is good with humans, but due to his size best to go to a home with children over ten years of age. Rocky is not good with cats or pocket pets.
Rocky will need a secure colorbond fenced area. He is not afraid of lightning or thunderstorms at all. Rocky doesn't like water or hose spray. He used to sleeping on the couch and cuddling with his former owner.
So if you are an experienced shepherd owner and want the challenge of an intelligent but boundary pushing male shepherd then Rocky might just be the dog for you.
If you are interested in adopting Rocky please email us about your family, how much experience you have had with German Shepherds, what other pets you have, your address, how large your garden is, the type and height of your fences, how much time Rocky will be on his own, and where he will sleep.
Medical notes
Rocky is desexed, vaccinated C5 on heart worm prevention and has been flea treated and wormed.
