About Nestlé ~ bc X koolie X cattle (On Trial 11/3/16)
Hi, I'm named Nestlé, like the chocolate because I'm so sweet! I'm an 8 month old, border collie X koolie X stumpy tailed cattle dog girl who loves cuddles, toys and food! Are you looking for a dog who always comes when called and is always ready for play and cuddles? Do you feel there is a hole in your life without a sweet little dog licking and cuddling you? Then I'm your gal because I love to lick and cuddle at EVERY opportunity. I only weigh 12kgs so I can fit on your lap and I'd be happy to oblige if you really wanted me to.
I also love chewing my toys and love you to throw them, as often as possible. I'm very smart and have already learned how to sit, wait, shake paws and drop! I have even learned that it's better to go to the toilet outside. I love my foster kids and have been learning not to jump, but no one had to tell me the 5 year old is too small to jump on - I just knew I could hurt her if I did, so I sit and wait for her sweet pats because kids give the best pats!
I’d be happy to be an only dog so long as I have active parents who won't leave me alone for long periods of time. I don't mind spending the day outside (so long as I have shelter and toys) but I would like to spend some time inside each day enjoying the company of my family. At the moment, I spend most of my time outside and in a Queensland room and sleep on a lounge out there. I may need you to take a little time showing me how you want me to behave inside at your house.
I need some time to get to know other dog brothers or sisters, but I get better every day and I can now play tug with my foster Mum’s dog. I spent some time in the pound so I can be a bit defensive at first, but I am learning that play with other dogs can be fun. I have no idea what I will do when I meet a cat, but I’m willing to try it out, because I'm still young you know!
I don't bark unless I get really scared, otherwise I am quiet! My foster Mum has been wondering if I was mute, because I rarely bark and only make noise when I am chasing my toys. Storms and fireworks don't bother me because I have good shelter.
I'll need good fencing, because when I visited the vet for a checkup, I could jump from a standstill right up onto his table! He was pretty impressed and said no other dog had ever done that before! I'm pretty special, right?
I need to go for daily walks, no big runs yet (I'm still a baby you know) and with training I am learning to be well behaved and not pull on the lead. It's a big world out there, I can't wait to see it all!

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can answer your questions and will ask you about the sort of home you are offering and may ask you to fill in our Adoption Questionnaire http://www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au/adopt/adoptionquestionnaire.docx
(2) If the questionnaire is approved you can arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carer's home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. We will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
