About Alec
Meet gorgeous young Alec! Alec was a surrender case from a Hoarder. He was surrendered with 3 of his brothers to the RSPCA. The boys were not doing well in the shelter environment so the RSPCA decided they would be best in our care.
Alec is in the process of being house trained as we do not think he has ever been inside before. Alec was a bit frightened when he first came into care but has since discovered the feeling of love.
Alec loves his belly rubs. He even gives the cutest smile when he is happy and content. He absolutely loves being next to you. He always like to curl up for a cuddle or rest his paw on you. He loves to give cute little kisses and is just a sweet natured little man. He gets along well with the dogs in his foster home. He is also good with cats.
Alec is young, fun and full of beans! He would suit a family who is willing to keep up with his energy and training needs.
Medical notes
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs have been fully health checked by our vets. We offer a free post-adoption health check with Greencross Vets at Chermside, Jindalee, Browns Plains or Indooroopilly hospitals. This gives you the opportunity to talk directly to the vet about any questions you may have. We provide all veterinary records for each dog, including copies of blood tests, any relevant xrays and medical notes.
All Chihuahua Rescue Queensland dogs are desexed, vaccinated and microchipped. We test all our dogs for heart worm and treat them with regular parasite prevention.

The first step to adopting a dog from us is to fill out an expression of interest form.
We encourage you to provide as much detail as possible about your family and your home as this helps us make sure we match you with the most suitable dog.

Please note: we do not organise any meet and greet without a completed expression of interest form.
Our adoption process involves:
1) Completing online application form
2) Arranging a meet and greet with the dogs foster carer, after which we ask you to take 24 hours to make a decision about whether you want to adopt this dog
3) A brief home visit and yard check from one of our volunteers
4) Adoption trial spanning four weeks.
We ask that you pay the dogs adoption fee at the beginning of the adoption trial, however this will be refunded if for any reason the dog is not working out in your home within the four week period. We offer a four week adoption trial to make sure that you have plenty of time for your new dog to settle into your home and so we can offer you full support during this period and beyond.
We offer a free health check with our vets at Indooroopilly, Browns Plains, Jindalee or Chermside vet clinic after you’ve adopted your dog and every dog in our care is up to date with all vet work.
