About Arnold ID 28618
Meet Arnold... an FIV positive superstar cat!
After finding himself as a stray at GAWS late last year underweight and with a leg injury, this handsome boy has now fully recovered and is seeking a home to call his own.
Arnold is a super playful 2 year old whose favourite things include chasing his toys around the house, nap time on his favourite chair, head pats and of course dinner time! He’s loyal, loves a game of fetch (when he’s in the mood) and is a bit of a chatterbox.
Arnold would do best in a home where he is not left alone all day as he craves attention and may get lonely. He can also play a little rough sometimes so would probably be best suited to a home without young children or other cats.
Arnold loves his SUPERVISED outdoor time; he always stays close by but loves munching on grass, exploring in the garden, and rolling around on the warm pavement at your feet while you hang out the washing. However, as FIV can be transmitted from cat to cat via blood and saliva he needs to remain predominantly as an indoor cat and he can never go outside unsupervised.
If you’re seeking a confident, happy and one of a kind cat then Arnold’s your boy! If you have any questions about Arnold or to arrange a time to meet him please send an email to Melanie – mbishop@gaws.org.au or give me a call on 0404740986.
Medical notes
FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is a slow acting virus that gradually depletes the number of white blood cells, which eventually makes a cat less able to fight off infection. Many FIV positive cats enjoy a normal lifespan with no apparent health problems however regular vet checks are important to keep them healthy and happy. FIV is species specific so it can only ever be transmitted between cats, not to humans, dogs or any other animal.
