Esme

Esme is a very lively girl who needs an active owner who has plenty of time to take her for a long walk/ run every day preferably twice a day. She has met several other dogs during her stay at the shelter and always been very excited to do so. She does tend to jump all over them in her excitement which some dogs don't appreciate! If you already have a dog and you are thinking of adopting Esme please bring your dog along to the shelter to meet her so we can see how they interact. Esme does find pocket pets a little too tempting to chase around so will need a home without any.
Esme will need to be taught more settled behaviour around children as again she does tend to jump up a lot and may accidentally knock little ones over. Food would be pretty much her favourite thing in the world so this will help with using treats for her reward training. Of course she needs to stay fit and healthy so not too many treats for her!!
To ensure Esme is kept safe and secure she will need a large yard which has colourbond fences and gates that are at least 5ft high and in good condition with no gaps or footholes.
