About Astro (friendly, playful)
I'm told I have the scruffy face and soulful dark eyes of a wolfhound, but in size and activity level I resemble more the other part of my family (Kelpie ?, border collie?, both?).
I am a friendly, energetic and lovable little man who is just on the search for my perfect forever home. I have been in care for a fair few months with very limited interest and we have no idea why.
I am VERY dog friendly and I regularly attend the local boarding facility to run everyone around and tire myself out. They LOVE me there, I make all the other dogs very sleepy as I love to wrestle with anyone willing. Be they small, medium or large.
I do need a home with another dog, one that I can wrestle with and get some energy out with as I do have lots of that. I will also need an active household, so a family who enjoy the outdoors and exercise would be ideal for me. Maybe someone who runs? or hikes? what about a swimmer or beach goer? I LOVE all of these things.
I even sometimes chase the ball and guess what?! sometimes I even bring it back! wow riggght?
Of a night I am happy to find myself a comfy bed and sleep off the day's activity.
I will need a home with secure and safe 6ft colourbond fencing BUT I can also be rehomed to a house with paddock property fencing as I am very used to the acreage and land life. I LOVE it!
I am an indoors and outdoor boy but really, I am happy to do anything as long as I am told that I'm a good boy. Then I am fine. I have met cats before, and unfortunately I was a little too curious with those so a household without those is a MUST. Sometimes I like to look at the chickens through the wire fence but they are too loud and intimidating for me to try and visit them. I also like to look at the horses, but if I accidently end up on their side of the fence I am suddenly much more subdued (they are so BIG up close).
BUT I LOVE kids, so maybe a household with those would be ideal. I have been around kids with autism even and I adored them so so so much and I have been around toddlers and babies and I have learned my manners on being around them. I love to kiss their hands and faces too!
I promise I am a very nice boy, I adore everyone and everything but I am just waiting for someone to come and take my leash and walk me into our new home!

In the ENQUIRY SECTION please explain in LENGTH some basics about yourself/ your life/ your household and what type of life you can provide for one of our rescue animals.
If successful, you would be contacted by phone, where we will talk about your enquiry and potentially organise a meet and greet between you/ your dogs/ your family and the potential candidate
From there, you can either take your animal with you if the meet and greet was successful and their vet work has been completed- or if the vet work hasn't been completed, you must wait until it's finished before taking your new friend home which will be organised between yourself and the foster carer.
Every animal has a 2 week trial period.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
