About Buick
Buick (D347) is looking for a home where he can be involved in his families day to day life, where he is welcome inside when the family is at home and they can provide him plenty of exercise (he loves swimming) and attention. In his past someone has put quite a bit of work into his training and he sits, drops, waits patiently for his food bowl and speaks on command. His new owners would need to continue to work with Buick as he needs a lot of improvement on his walking on lead as he loves his walks but pulls on the lead and has not been tried off lead as he has a poor recall. He has proven to be very social with people, this guy really loves pats, scratches and cuddles but due to his size and exuberance he will not be suited to a family with small children.
He is currently in foster care with other dogs without a problem but does not tolerate being bullied by another dog. He lives peacefully with cats and doesn’t attempt to chase or intimidate them. However he will need to go to a home without any pet birds as he while chase and attack chooks, caged birds and any birds brave enough to fly into the yard. He is also not good around stock and is very interested in barking at and chasing horses and sheep. He is great indoors and is fully housetrained, travels fantastically in a car and loves riding in a ute.
Buick is a beautiful dog inside and out and will make a dedicated family or individual very happy.
