About Leo on trial in his new home
Leo is on trial in his new home.
This big boy is Leo a handsome confident male stock coated German Shepherd who found himself in a Sydney animal shelter. Now we took one look at this big boy and thought you have been a much loved family pet why would you be in an animal shelter.
Well unfortunately his former owner never came to collect him and we have him in our care now at Windsor. Leo is your old fashioned style of German Shepherd, big boned and solid like the German Shepherd portrayed in the series "Rin Tin Tin" well this boy is very similar. Confident but aloof until he gets to know you, a dog who would be a wonderful companion for a single person or couple as he would bond strongly and be your protector.
Leo has been vet checked and desexed, and we think he is just such a good boy, so willing to listen and respond to you. He has formed an attachment to one of our volunteer carers and his eyes follow her everywhere. So we can see he would bond strongly with his human pack and need a confident owner who will ensure he is given the love, direction and stability an intelligent, intuitive dog such as Leo needs.
This boy is forty plus kilos and looks directly into your eyes to determine who you are and you can see the intelligence working on his face. This boy will need an owner who has had German Shepherd dogs before and who have knowledge of the needs and temperament of this regal breed.
For more information on Leo please contact Jan.
Medical notes
