About Boss
Meet boss. Boss by name, but not by nature. Boss is a 5 month mastiff x pup. Boss has had a rough start to life, since coming into foster care he has been fighting an ongoing infection in his saliva gland which the vets believe was caused by a foreign body of some sort (possible a grass seed) he has been fighting the infection with antibiotics in the hope to avoid surgery. As the antibiotics weren’t completely clearing the infection, it was decided that Boss would need surgery. He recently had two lymph nodes surgically removed and drainage tube inserted to drain excess fluid. He has now had the drain removed and the fluid has gone. He has been left with some hard tissue scarring in the area which will eventually disappear, and the vets expect no ongoing medical issues.
Since Boss has become well he has lots of energy! He loves going on big long walks with his other doggy friends. He has been well socialized with dogs of all sizes and ages. Boss would love a home with a decent sized back yard to run around in. Boss loves his fury foster sister, for this reason I think he would best suited to a home with another dog, if that’s not possible he would like a home were people are home more often than not. Boss enjoys being where the action is. So if you spend most of your time inside, that’s where he wants to be as well (unless he has a furry friend to play with outside) He loves kids, but may be a bit too big and excited for very small children.
Boss is fully toilet trained, although he may have an accident when he first goes to his new home. He knows how to sit, shake hands and stay. Boss does get very excited and sometimes jumps and would benefit from further training. Boss has heaps of toys to play with at his foster house which keeps him out of trouble.
Boss is a very loveable pup, who will be greatly missed by his foster parents and furry foster sister.
