Delilah is a very affectionate cat who loves to headbutt your legs in the kitchen and lick your ankles when she wants a pat.
She prefers to stay in a cosy nook for most of the day and is not very vocal. She is not a picky eater and is very playful once she warms up to new people happy to roll around for hours on end. She is best suited for an indoors home who have the patience to allow her build her trust gradually.
She was saved from Renbury Farm Animal Shelter and was saved from being PTS by 2 hours. She appeared to have had babies and was still full of milk when they got her which means she was most likely whisked away from her babies. This is just heart breaking.
Delilah is a beautiful cat that deserves a new start in life.
Before adopting a new pet, ensure all family members understand that a pet is an emotional and financial commitment that you need to be prepared to love, house and keep safe for the next 15 to 20 years. This means premium nutrition, preventative health care, regular veterinary check-ups and keeping them inside or only having access to a cat proof area or yard. Pet insurance with accident and illness cover gives you piece of mind knowing your pet can get the veterinary care they may need and you don’t have to worry about if the expense.
We start off by either emailing you our adoption questionnaire or having a chat on the phone to get some details about who you are and what you’re looking for in a feline companion. Next step is to organise a meet and greet. Depending on your location, we bring the feline/s to you or you can come and visit the orphanage. There is usually a 24hour wait from the meet and greet to collecting your new family member so everyone has a night to think things over and so you have a chance to get your home repaired. If all goes well and everyone is happy, the adoption paperwork is signed and you collect your new family member.
All adoptions are subject to a two week settling in period. If for any reason your new addition is not suited to your lifestyle, you are welcome to return them for a full refund of the adoption fee. All adoptions come with an adoption pack which contains all their certificates and paperwork, information on preventative health care, diet, pet insurance and potential toxins/poisons around the home.
After adoption, we continue to provide ongoing advice and support in order to help you care for your new family member. To find out more about any of our orphans, please contact Alexandria at Kittie Kat Rescue, after the settling period we will always take back the cat no questions asked.
